Masters Swimming South Australia | 2009 Jetty to Jetty

The 2009 Jetty to Jetty 2 km Open Water Swim was a success in every way. Numbers were up and the inovative measures introduced by OWS Director, Kent Nelson to ensure a smoothly run event were carried out to the full by a team of very competent officials and helpers. Congratulations to everyone!

There were numerous personal challenges met by those swimmers undeterred by recent media

headlines of shark sightings.

First over the line was 19yo James Fennell (23.19) followed by 18yo Cillie DuPlooy (24.00) and

36yo Matt Tippett (24.37). Fastest male AUSSI member was Henry Gooden (SAM) (24.42)

Fastest female AUSSI was Joanne Sutcliffe (SAM) (25.40)
